Election Day: I will Give You….

Mon. Nov. 03, 04:02pm EST

Tomorrow(Today) is Election Day and it could turn out to be one of the largest voter turnouts in the history of our country.   Officials have said that there are thousands of new voters leading up to the final election of the year and expect many residents who haven't voted in a long time to show up.  We have a chance to beat the 1960 turnout.  The turnout of voting-age population that year was 63.1%.

Politics4All T-Shirt

If you vote, send me a photo of your sticker and I will send you a Politics4All t-shirt.  If you have a video, photo or just tell me you voted or why you didn't.

Send Thomas a message >

(If you can't link your photo or video, just send me a message)

Here is my sticker!

You are on, sir! I love the idea of giving people free stuff as a reward for voting. Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, Dunkin Donuts and even a sex toy shop here in NYC are all giving away free stuff for people who vote. Very cool :)

Too funny! You should get a t-shirt, regardless! :)

Thank you Thomas for sending me one of these. I will be wearing it to the polls tomorrow, and I'll let you know what if any reaction I get!

Pete is on to something....gifts for votes!! It's sort of like the woman who was interviewed at that Obama rally who said that if Obama was elected, she wouldn't have to worry about paying for gas anymore or paying her mortgage! Can I have THAT instead of the t-shirt, ice-cream & donuts? (And can I have the address to that "shop" in NYC...a friend of a friend of a friend wanted to me to ask.....) [Palin-wink, Palin-wink]

This is great! Thanks for my shirt as well. I will be wearing it to the polls this afternoon!

Actually, I just read this morning that Starbucks might be in some legal hot water for linking their free coffee directly to voting--it suggests they are buying voters votes--but I don't see how unless Starbucks has endorsed a candidate and that would be a fast way to alienate a LOT of it's customers.

I voted... and thanks for the shirt! Democracy in action and concerned citizens make me proud to be an American.

Amy Tue. Nov. 04, 02:22pm EST#8

I voted, but in Oregon we don't get stickers :( vote by mail (or ballot drop-off) has its downsides, apparently.

Chris Stearns Tue. Nov. 04, 02:28pm EST#9

For those of us who vote more than once, can we get multiple shirts?

ThePete Tue. Nov. 04, 02:50pm EST#10

Hrm--I didn't get a sticker at my polling place--no one did. However, I have proof that I voted: http://12seconds.tv/channel/ThePete/45210

Do I still get my shirt? :)

Thomas Cook Tue. Nov. 04, 02:57pm EST#11

Personally as a resident of NYC I was upset when I didn't get my proof of voting, which lead to me not getting a free vibrator. Damn my poll workers, because you can never have too many vibrators.
