I had a loan called during the first talks in bailing out the banks. Rough story, I had to us Political power cause I would have lost in court. I worked it our after 2 US Senators nad myself gave an earful to the State Regulators for the Regional Bank. Now it's like nothing happened and all is well. They act like we are best of friends. I was never late on the loan, and have had over 20 large loans with this bank, they treated me like a guy walking off the street without 2 pennies to rub together.

This happened to me so I know what I am talking about. The bank after the Senator's office started calling, claimed lies about me and cut off talks. We had to restart all over again.

Now I was not begging for a bail out they were. This bank NEEDED 1.4 Billion, with a B. to meet the tier 1 level or they would be weak and good for a take over. So they started calling in loans to make their books look bad... The Senator's office had to open my eyes on that one. The tax counsel staffer pointed that one out.

Ok. We worked out that one. But now the rest of the story, as the late Paul Harvey would say:

Say with me on this, ok.

In the Bible is a story, Stay with me... Mathew 18 I think, here is how it goes, I will add in the story the players as I go. Let's see what is left to do at the end of the story.

A man (bank) owed the King (Government) a Billion dollars, the King said pay me what you owe or go to jail until you can pay. Please, please(here comes the bailout) don't throw me in jail, Please, please, so the King as pitty on the man(bank) and forgives the man(bank) all is debt(bailout). The man(bank) leaves the King(government with a fist full of money) and right away see a man(me) who owes him(bank) 300,000.00. PAY me now or I will surly throw you in jail(loose business, and file Chapter 13 or something, employees to loose jobs, etc) I want my money. You will stay in jail and your family until I am paid in full. The other servents( this is your part) saw what was going on and knew what the King(Government) had done for the man(evil bank) and went right away(this is what you should be doing right now) telling the king(government) what the man(evil, evil bank) had done to (me) the King(Government) was very upset, after all the King(Government) forgave the man(bank) and he(bank) did that!!!!. The King(Government) called the man(bank) in and said I forgave you your debt in full and this is how you repay me!!!!! I forgave you Billions and you throw a man(me) in jail over 300,000.00.!!!!!!! I will now(this is where we need the Government to listen) unforgive you your debt and throw you(bank) in jail until you can pay back in full with interest.(i sorta added the interest part, because I still have unresolved issues, I guess).

The moral of the story? you tell me.

Obama is looking to squeeze the middle class for every penny, and to give it to the have-nots. Its as simple as that.

Robert, how does pledging help for small business and condemning AIG bonuses portend squeezing the middle class and elevating the "have-nots"? Maybe we were watching two different addresses to the Small Business Owners and Community Leaders. I'd like to see the version you watched. Could you provide the link?

Senate quietly stripped measure restricting bonuses from bailout legislation

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports that the White House knew AIG executives would be paid hefty bonuses well in advance of their self-professed "outrage."

I just read this parable to my kids for a bedtime story last night.
