"Loaves and Fishes" - The House of Belonging - by David Whyte

This is not the age of information.

This is not

The age of information.

Forget the news,

And the radio,

And the blurred screen.

This is the time

Of loaves

And fishes.

People are hungry,

And one good word is bread

For a thousand.

*****

There is power in giving people facts, figures, and information, but we should never forget the power that can come from giving people a good word....taking time to tell the people in your life that they mean something to you, that you love them....taking time to look people squarely in the eye when you pass them on the street and smile....taking the time to say, "thank you," when someone extends a hand of service to you...taking the time to encourage, to support, to lift up our neighbors or people we may never get the opportunity to meet face-to-face.  Our good words and our good deeds will indeed speak louder and longer than any pie chart, bar graph, or presidential candidate's daily talking points memo.

People in this country are hungry indeed -- may we all commit to "feed" someone today with a good word!

Best wishes to the entire Politcs4All team on your labor-of-love!!  May you be able to fully enjoy the amazing experience and celebrate with true joy what you have all accomplished.

Branden, I wished I had the time sooner to delve into this site. I am starting to. The posts I have read and the linked videos I have watched thus far are igniting a passion in me . . . actually making me a bit angry at the state of our country and the contrasting views of those contributing. I hope this site becomes "The Site." I hope it will be known as balanced, not being tagged as liberal, conservative, moderate, etc . . .

Politics have become a regular topic at our daily "happy hour" cul-de-sac gatherings. I will introduce my neighbors to Politics4All.

Well done!
