Joseph Lister Hubbard, Jr.

Joe was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He is an attorney with Webb & Eley, P.C., in Montgomery, where he represents Alabama's sheriffs and county commissioners in civil rights litigation and other matters. Joe also serves as a legislative analyst for the Public Safety Committee in the Alabama House of Representatives.

Joe inherited his commitment to public service from his great-grandfather, and namesake, Joseph Lister Hill, an Alabama Congressman and Senator for nearly a half-century. He spent much of his childhood at the knee of his grandfather, John C. Goldbold, a federal judge who was instrumental in implementing some of the more progressive policies of his day. Joe would like to hold his government accountable for the basic services it should provide: education, infrastructure, and economic development. A government that works better for its people should be the goal of all who hold public office.

Joe is a member of the Montgomery Kiwanis Club, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama National Fair. He is also an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, where he serves on the Vestry. Joe is married to the former Ashley Dobbs of Millbrook, Alabama, and is the proud father of a son, Joseph Lister Hill Hubbard, III.
