Huntsville Tea Party Movement

The government at all levels has an insatiable appetite for money. When the economy is booming they take a larger share of the big pie. People don't notice this so much because we're all doing good. Then when the economy turns down they need a larger share of the smaller pie to make up for the loss in revenues. The cycle of taxation continues with every economic turn. The only restraint is tax cuts which unfortunately don't come with spending cuts - just deficits.

Federal government spending is completely out of control. Our national debt is six times the annual revenue. Any other entity that carried this much debt would long since have been declared bankrupt. How does it make sense to for us to carry this much debt as a nation? The federal government should be required to spend no more than it takes in. To continue to spend the taxes of future generations at the rate we spend now is insane. Both political parties are culpable.
