Welcome to my official website! I am announcing my candidacy for Alabama State Treasurer in 2010. I am currently a member of the State Republican Executive Committee and the Etowah County Republican Executive Committee, Trustee at AIDB (Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind), and a business owner. I was a Delegate to the 2004 and 2008 Republican National Conventions. My wife, Alicia and I have been married for 28 years and have one daughter, Andrea. As a business owner for the past 25 years, I have experienced the effects of the economic cycles and have had to make tough financial decisions that would affect the survival of my company. Starting a general contracting and development firm, Dunn Development Corporation, with only five hundred dollars and suffering through the highs and lows of owning a small business, it taught me to make sound financial decisions that enabled me to reach my goal of early retirement.
Now at the age of 49, I would like to pursue my interest in furthering the progress of our State by running for the office of State Treasurer. My goal is to serve the citizens of Alabama by assuring that the most efficient banking, investment and financial management services are provided for the State of Alabama.
